Privacy

What personal data we collect, why, who handles it, and your rights under India's data protection law.

This policy explains how BHANDERI EKTA MEHULKUMAR, trading as ekmé Nutria ("we") handles your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, mobile number, email address, delivery address and the details of your order.
  • If you sign in: your email address and the addresses you save.
  • When you enquire, request a quote or join a launch list: what you send us in the form.
  • When you browse: technical data such as your browser type and pages visited, to keep the site working and secure and to understand how it is used.

We do not collect card or bank details: Razorpay handles online payments on its own secure pages.

Why we use it

  • To process, deliver and support your order, send order and delivery updates, and issue tax invoices (necessary to fulfil your order).
  • To answer your enquiries and quote requests.
  • To email you when a product launches, only if you joined its list. You can leave the list at any time.
  • To prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have asked for them.

Who handles it for us

Only the service providers that make the store work, each bound to use your data only for that purpose:

  • Razorpay, for online payments.
  • iThink Logistics and its courier partners, for delivery.
  • Resend, to send emails such as order updates and sign-in codes.
  • Oracle Cloud and Cloudflare, for hosting, storage and secure delivery of this website.
  • PostHog (site usage statistics) and Sentry (error reports), to understand and fix problems on the site.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We share personal data with authorities only when the law requires it.

Cookies and storage

We use a sign-in cookie when you sign in, and your browser keeps your cart and checkout details on your device so you do not lose them. Usage statistics are collected without advertising cookies, and we do not show advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, currently up to eight years. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Enquiries and launch-list sign-ups are kept until they are dealt with or you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
  • withdraw any consent you gave, as easily as you gave it;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to;
  • have your grievances about your data addressed by us.

Write to our grievance officer (below) to use any of these rights. We may need to keep some data where the law requires it, such as invoices. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you occurs, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
